Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

Lingo Lamb Pte Ltd (“LingoLamb”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Singapore, runs online 1-to-1 Japanese lessons at lingolamb.com and the booking site booking.lingolamb.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google and Zoom accounts

You can sign in with Google. We then receive your name and email address from Google, and use them only to create and identify your account.

Senseis may connect their own Google account so lesson video links are created automatically. With their permission we add an event for each booked lesson to their Google Calendar, with a Google Meet link, and remove it if the lesson is cancelled. We only access the calendar events we create, and we do not read their other calendar data. Senseis may likewise connect their own Zoom account so we can create and remove lesson meetings. Connection keys are stored encrypted, and senseis can disconnect at any time in Settings.

LingoLamb’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google is used only to provide these features, is not used for advertising, and is not transferred to anyone else except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the platform. They process data only on our instructions:

Your sensei sees your name and your lesson bookings and messages with them. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and protect sign-ins. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as you have an account. Chat files are deleted 60 days after they are sent. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires for accounting. Accounts that were started but never paid for are deleted automatically.

Keeping it safe

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted so each person can only see what they are allowed to, and payment confirmations are checked for authenticity before credits are added.

Your choices and rights

You can update your name and password in Settings. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us. We will reply within 30 days.
